For those who enjoy tasting different types of wine, a Santa Ynez wine tour is a special treat. Captain Jack’s recently picked up a group of three couples who travel annually together and were new to wine tasting. Our first stop was Lafond Winery located deep in Santa Rita Hills. Lafond specializes in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and great views!

Next was a visit to Petros, who offer a menu of farm-to-table delectables in addition to some of the best wine in the region.

We stopped in Los Olivos to pick up some cupcakes from Sarloos and Sons and visited the J. Woeste Garden Shop. We squeezed in Claremont Lavender Farm on our way to Blackjack Winery, where many downtime hours were spent by the cast and crew of the film Sideways.

We headed back over San Marcos Pass and made a quick stop at Cold Spring Tavern to listen to the live music. A great time was had by all. Cheers to another successful tour at Captain Jack’s.
